Ten Facts

To start off with my new blog, I'm going to share with you 10 random facts about me that you might want to know, and this is sort of a way of introducing myself to you. So here it goes!

 1. An Unica Hija. I have four brothers, and nope, I'm not a tomboy although I might have a little boyish side to me.

2. Pseudo-Chinese. Meaning, I'm not Chinese (probably just a little percentage) though my physcial appearance show otherwise. Always mistaken as Chinese/Japanese/Korean. Sorry, but I'm pure Filipino!

3. A College Graduate. Aside from my race being mistook, my age is also being questioned. FYI, I'm  already 21 years old (turning 22 this August) and I've graduated college already with a bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. I'll be taking the licensure exam on February 2016 (I need your prayers hehe).

4. I'm Taken. I'm sure my boyfriend is overjoyed for listing this down. Definitely not open for any suitors. Lol.

5. I like dressing up. Although I can't really say I'm into fashion but I am fascinated by it and it makes me confident with myself. I don't make a big deal of wearing branded clothes. Anything that I think looks good on me is enough. I even like going to thrift stores and/or local bazaars (you can find a lot there, even branded ones). My fashion mantra: Comfort over style. Always.

6. I'm a short girl. 5'1" the last time I checked. Petite, they say. 'Nuff said.

7. I like the arts. I am so fascinated with this field that it makes me so jealous of those talented artists, although people would commend my creativity (doodles/typography). I still don't find myself good enough. (Side note: I regret not going to DLSU and enroll in any art course *sob* I would probably be better by now.) Anyway, it's still a hobby of mine.

TRAVEL: EP 001

As a triple celebration (Mother's Day, my graduation, and my brother's birthday), my family plus David went on a trip to the mountains -- Bucari, Leon, also known as Iloilo's "little Baguio".

It became a talk of the town and obviously we wanted to check it out too. After patiently waiting for my graduation (because superstition says you have to be extra careful before graduation day), we finally fed our curiosities.

Leon, known as the 'Summer Capital of Iloilo', is 58 km away (according to wikipedia) from Iloilo City, and Bucari is situated in the highlands of Leon and Alimodian. More information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bucari_Area,_Iloilo.

Your destination would be the Bucari Pine Forest in Sitio Tabionan. It's still a few kilometers uphill the town proper, and let me tell you the road going up is a bit challenging. It's just straight ahead and there will be a few signs that will somehow guide your way. If you're a bit lost and confused, don't hesitate to ask the locals.
